Tacos Don Chente

I've been hearing lots of stories about delishious breakfast tacos coming from the place. Took me a while to make a trip just to go here as it's a bit far for breakfast to a 'food truck ", but boy oh boy was it WORTH IT !!! Cooked fresh to order, my breakfast tacos were delicious and I tried the red and the green sauce, BOTH were fantastic, I will have to eat more and more to try to figure out my favorite !!! All types of friendly folk visiting, i ate quickly to free up a picnic table for others, the food was so good, I wished I'd eaten MORE.!!! Looking forward to my next visit A friendly fluffy kitty was hanging around, I gave it some egg from my taco. Sweet kitty

This is my favorite taco spot in town. I love the street Taco plate, it comes with 5 tacos and you can get 2 different meats. I recommend the Asada and Carnitas. Comes with rice and beans, either charred Serrano or jalapeno and plenty of onion and cilantro! With the red and green salas are very good. My husband likes the beef FAJITA tacos, they always have plenty of meat on them and they are very fair with pricing.

Amazing breakfast tacos! We ordered a variety of tacos which were all made fresh and were so delicious! The tortilla were perfect and the red & green salsa were perfect compliments. Will eat here again my next time to Canyon Lake!

OMG! Carne Asada burrito is easily one of the best I have ever had, and definitely the best one I have had in Texas, anywhere. I have been back twice since the first visit and I wish I could comment on their other menu items, but I am stuck ordering the same item each time. It is sooooo good. The flour tortilla is just amazingly toasted to perfection. You place your order and they give you the beeper and you can sit in your car until your order is complete. I can't say enough about this place. You WILL go back, Trust me on this. EDIT: Originally I raved over the Carne Asada burritos. Since I have tried the Pastor burrito and it WAS my go-to when I come here. Not anymore. I messed up and said "taco" instead of burrito one day and she brought out pastor tacos. She offered to redo my order but I didn't have time so I said I would keep these. BOY am I glad I did. The pastor tacos are the best tacos I have had anywhere in Texas. ABSOLUTELY phenomenal ...cilantro and onions on these bad boys with their red sauce and a squeeze of lime. THESE ARE HEAVENLY!!! Such very kind and great attitudes of the good folks that work here. You'd be crazy to drive past without grabbing a taco. I completely love these people and their wonderful food. Simply amazing.

As far as I could see, a one man show-one person cooking, taking orders, answering the phone. Excellent tacos, typical recipes, pork, beef, tongue, chicken, not too oily, flavorful Salsas very good A few tables outdoors, about 7-8 parking spaces

The breakfast burritos are super delicious ! And we also tasted the tacos del pastor and asada, and they were just as delicious. The asada had an amazing taste and the meat was tender . The lady who took our order was very kind and patient! You must try them if you’re in canyon lake!

If you’re looking for the best place to have breakfast or lunch in the Canyon Lake area then Tacos Don Chente is your place. I was highly skeptical when I pulled up but decided to see it through. My taste buds celebrated when the Breakfast Burrito Special hit them. The food was hot and fresh. The red and green sauce absolutely amazing. The young man working behind the counter one of the friendliest and most helpful guys I have ever encountered. The way he helped a customer that showed up without their wallet was very impressive. Five stars isn’t enough for this place. I highly recommend and will be a returning customer next time I visit the area.

Hot! Fresh! Yummy! Tacos! Burritos! Plates! All good here! Always a great spot for food and to fix that empty stomach
